Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This paper consists of an investigation of the relationship between texture and urban living conditions in the main district of Campina Grande (PB), Brazil. The urban texture analysis consisted of a morphological approach based on fractal theory, measured through the lacunarity calculation. The analysis of habitability was carried out by calculating an index, built from data provided by the Demographic Census of the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), which allows the assessment of income conditions, longevity, housing typology, sanitation and occupation in the urban census sectors of the municipality. The textural and habitability measures were spatialized and superimposed on each other through geoprocessing tools. The relevance of this work lies in the use of alternative techniques to aid in territorial readings, in the understanding of intra-urban diversities and in the detection of patterns of segregation and fragmentation. The results allowed us to conclude that the crossing of the values ??of lacunarity and habitability help in the planning of urban guidelines, having as reference representative areas selected in this study.
