Towards a characterization of the literacy teaching and learning context in the primary school in Portugal : a research on students' competencies and teachers' conceptions and practices
| Resumo: | In this paper the results of a research on the literacy teaching and learning contexts in Portuguese primary schools are presented. I start by describing the two complementary theoretical perspectives framing the study. I then introduce the research question and aims, the method of inquiry, detailing the unit and sub-units of analysis, the results and a final discussion on the educational importance of the research. |
