| Resumo: | Immersive virtual learning environments are an educational approach that engages students through an interactive and multi-sensory experience. Immersive learning aims to create an environment where students feel fully involved as if they are part of the learning process, rather than just passive recipients of the information. Immersive virtual learning environments often use virtual reality technology to create an interactive and immersive environment for students learning. This article explores immersive virtual learning environments in the study of math content and how they engage students in learning through emotions. The emotional connection created by immersive virtual learning environments can enhance students' engagement in learning. The study involved sixty-three students distributed over four classes of fifth and sixth grades. The students' voices were collected through a questionnaire of closed-ended and open-ended questions. According to students' opinions, immersive virtual learning environments are a valid educational approach that can enhance their emotional connection leading to increased engagement in learning. |
