Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Clothing assembly has experienced a great increase of automation in the past decades. Modern high-end sewing machines incorporate a great amount of technology in an immense variety of auxiliary devices of various natures. Even so, sewing machines have remained open loop machines regarding the stitch formation process. The next-generation sewing machine should be able to monitor and control its process variables. In this way, quality and flexibility standards can be significantly improved. This paper presents some results of research work on this topic. A sewing test rig for measurement and processing of sewing process parameters has been set up and is being continuously developed on basis of results obtained by several researchers.
