Interaction studies of benzimidazoles functionalized with arylthiophene and arylfuran moieties for cation recognition

Resumo:It is reported the study as optical chemosensors of a family of benzimidazoles functionalized with arylthiophene and arylfuran moieties, attached by different positions, and their ability to respond via changes in the fluorescence spectra to the presence of different metal cations through spectrofluorometric titrations in acetonitrile solution.
