Resumo:This presentation will examine in particular the relationship between the reformers Isabel Somerset and Frances Willard, and more generally the Anglo-American international temperance network of the late Victorian and early Edwardian periods. The interdependence is evident, apparent in the copious correspondence between the two and the campaign tours undertaken in each other’s country.
