Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The 2022 global report on assistive technology of the World Health Organization and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) estimates that more than 2.5 billion people globally use one or more assistive devices, and this number is expected to rise to 3.5 billion in 2050. Crutches are assistive devices utilized by disabled patients to restore the mobility lost due to the disability and regain some degree of independence [2]. A biomechanical model of the human movement within the framework of multibody system methodologies is utilized in this work to study crutch-assisted gait with focus on the interaction that occurs between the model and the device.
