Do remetente e do destinatário
| Resumo: | Qualquer correspondência epistolar coloca, para lá da sua contextualização e eventual importância histórica, a questão fundamental de determinar o papel desempenhado por cada um dos interlocutores nessa relação. Interessa-nos, tomando como exemplo algumas cartas escritas e recebidas por Fernando Pessoa (em tempos da revista Athena), perceber até que ponto podemos estar equivocados quando tendemos a pensar que a carta mostra (e esconde também) sobretudo o remetente/escrevente e só, subsidiariamente, o destinatário. Any epistolary correspondence – in addition to its contextualisation and possible historical significance – raises the essential question of determining the role played by each interlocutor in that relationship. If we take as an example some of the letters written and received by Fernando Pessoa (in the days of Athena magazine), it is important to understand the extent to which we may be mistaken when we are inclined to think that the letter primarily shows (and also hides) the sender/writer and only secondarily the receiver. |
