Marvão n' "O Conspirador"
| Resumo: | Espaço de criação humana por excelência, a literatura permite um olhar indagador sobre as relações que se estabelecem entre o narrador, as personagens e o meio físico, mais ou menos ficcionado, onde se desenrola a ação. Muitas vezes, estes cenários da imaginação do escritor estão ligados às suas vivências, tendo algum grau de verosimilhança face à realidade. Assumindo que a literatura de ficção pode ajudar a compreender a paisagem atual e, consequentemente, contribuir para a preservação da identidade e diversidade que lhe estão implícitas, analisamos numa perspetiva ecocrítica o conto “O Conspirador”, de Branquinho da Fonseca. Refletiremos sobre a coexistência entre os habitantes, o seu ambiente natural e o espaço construído, nos anos 30 do século XX, numa região rural fronteiriça do Alto Alentejo: Marvão e seus arredores. Focar-nos-emos no património local representado no conto, fruto da perceção e apreciação que o escritor constrói, permitindo-nos conhecer a ocupação daquele território, a sua paisagem e os lugares e parte da fauna e da flora locais. A space of human creation par excellence, literature allows an inquiring look at the relationships established between the narrator, the characters and the fictionalized physical medium where the action unfolds. Often, these scenarios of the writer’s imagination are linked to his life experience and have a certain degree of verisimilitude. Assuming that literary fiction may be able to help us understand nowadays landscapes and, therefore, contribute to their identity and diversity, we present an ecocritical reading of the short story “O Conspirador”, by Branquinho da Fonseca. We will reflect on the coexistence between humans, their natural environment and the built space, in the thirties of the twentieth century, in a rural border region located in the Alto Alentejo: Marvão and its surroundings. We will focus on the local heritage represented, a result of the writer’s perception and appreciation, allowing us to know about that territory’s organization, its landscape and places, its fauna and flora. |
