Summary:This study, part of a larger group thesis focused on meme engagement on Reddit, examines the interplay between visual and textual elements by categorizing memes into specific comedic formats and analysing their differences in user engagement. Using Large Vision Models, this research aims to capture and analyse the complex, context-dependent elements of memes that previous studies have overlooked. The findings reveal significant variations in engagement levels across different formats, providing insights into the popularity of specific types of memes.
