Feasibility of brokering production capacities of SMEs in Germany in the field of 3d printing
| Resumo: | The purpose of this work project was to evaluate the feasibility of brokering German SME production capacities for 3D printing by means of a dedicated 3D platform. To accomplish this objective, initial research was conducted investigating the importance of SMEs to the German economy, developments within the Additive Manufacturing (AM) sector, and platform technology. The AM market was critically evaluated including identifying current competitors. In addition, industry opinion regarding the viability of brokering German 3D production capacities was also gathered by means of semi-structured interviews with six senior executives employed in various roles within the 3D printing industry. |
