A segurança energética e um modelo para o futuro da Europa
| Resumo: | Este artigo apresenta o conceito de segurança energética e o modo como os novos conteúdos que se desenham neste conceito se estão a adaptar a uma nova era da energia, que se deseja mais barata e mais abundante. O artigo argumenta a necessidade de uma reformulação do referido conceito, à luz das ameaças mais recentes, como a pirataria ou o ciberterrorismo, as implicações para a segurança das redes, a influência dos desafios tecnológicos, as mudanças em curso, a pressão sobre os modelos tradicionais de negócio e a «guerra digital». O artigo termina com uma breve análise sobre os desafios que a Europa enfrenta na atualidade e no futuro próximo em termos energéticos. The present paper introduces the concept of energy security and the way in which the new contents outlined in this concept are adapting to a new era for energy that will hopefully be cheaper and more plentiful. The paper argues the need for a reformulation of the aforementioned concept, in the light of the more recent threats, such as piracy or cyberterrorism, the implications for network security, the influence of technological challenges, the ongoing changes, the pressure on the traditional business models and “digital war”. The paper closes with a brief analysis of the challenges faced by Europe, currently and in the near future, as far as energy is concerned. |
