Production, Biochemical Characterisation and Stability Assessment of Human IgG4 Therapeutic Antibodies in Comparison to Other Isotypes
| Resumo: | "Therapeutic antibodies and antibody derivatives comprise the majority of today’s biotherapeutics. Their stability, resistance to stress conditions and high solubility have allowed the successful development and commercialization of over 40 antibody-based drugs. These antibodies are, in their majority, based on the IgG1 isotype, and are capable of evoking effector functions as ADCC and CDC. However there has been an increased interest in producing other antibody formats like IgG2, IgG4S228P or aglycosylated IgG1s when effector functions are unnecessary or unwanted.(...)" |
