How life shapes innovation: the impact of family to work enrichment on innovative wpr behavior fopr employees in knowledge-based industries in Europe

Resumo:This study investigates the relationship between family to work enrichment (FWE) and innovative work behavior (IWB) among employees in knowledge-based industries across Europe. Furthermore, it explores whether contextual factors at work, such as psychological safety and job autonomy interact with FWE. Drawing on Conservation of Resources (COR) theory and the interactionist perspective, the hypothesized relationships were tested with data from 135 participants collected with an online survey. Results showed that FWE, including its subdimensions significantly predict IWB, whereas the situation factors do not moderate the effect. These findings highlight the beneficial impact of family-derived resources for IWB at work.
