Ver documento

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This thesis presents a novel stock replenishment model for the Emergency NGO's hospital in Uganda, aimed at enhancing inventory management. The model shifts from experiential judgement to data-driven strategies, focusing on reducing stockouts. A sample of 29 consumables, aligned with patient age categories, was analyzed over a 96-week period. Comparative results show a significant reduction in stock replenishments, with an average decrease of 63%. Despite limitations in data granularity, the model demonstrates substantial potential in improving supply chain efficiency in healthcare settings, particularly in low-income countries.
