Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This study focuses on how emerging technologies can be effectively integrated into Agile software development projects to create a guideline or framework that helps Agile teams adopt and manage new technologies. Emerging technology such as Blockchain, Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence is reshaping Agile software development, offering new opportunities and challenges. This study explores how these technologies influence Agile projects and identifies key factors for their successful adoption. Therefore, the research adopts a design science research methodology to explore how organizations can effectively implement and manage emerging technologies within Agile software development projects. Using a mixedmethod approach, including surveys and, the research provides insights into optimizing Agile frameworks for technological advancements. Grounded in Technological Determinism theory, the findings offer practical guidelines for industry professionals and researchers. Ultimately, this study aims to enhance project performance, improve decision making, and support future innovations of the project. To examine the literature review and systematic interviews analysis are conducted to establish the foundation for a comprehensive implementation framework. This includes key components such as readiness assessment, strategic alignment, performance evaluation, and continuous improvement. The framework is developed to guide organizations through the integration process while aligning with Agile principles. Validation is achieved through expert feedback and use case applications, confirming the framework is both relevant and practical for real-world use. As a result, this research contributes a structured, evidence-based approach to bridging the gap between technological advancement and Agile practice. Furthermore, the study provides important implications for both practitioners and future academic inquiry into the intersection of Agile methodologies and emerging technologies. The study resulted in a structured implementation framework that includes readiness assessment tools, performance evaluation metrics, and iterative improvement mechanisms tailored to emerging technologies within Agile settings. Key outcomes revealed that organizations with clear integration strategies and continuous learning cultures were more successful in leveraging new technologies to enhance flexibility, speed, and team collaboration. Additionally, empirical evaluation with industry professionals confirmed the practicality and relevance of the proposed guidelines. These outcomes reinforce the importance of aligning Agile practices with technological evolution to sustain competitive advantage in fast-paced development environments.
