O texto de opinião
| Resumo: | The aim of this paper is to propose an operative frame for the analysis of opinion articles which could benefit the teaching of reading and writing skills both in Portuguese as First and as a Second Language. By means of illustration, a comparative analysis of two opinion pieces will be carried out. It is argued that the focus on functional relations between speech acts in a coherent text is often neglected in favour of a semantic and referential approach. Nevertheless, it is precisely the opinion piece/essay which requires a close attention with regards to illocutionary composition, due to its preponderant argumentative dimension. |
