Evaluating six dimensions that influence the success of digital transformation

Resumo:Digital transformation has quickly become when of the most important aspects in the business world, and as of now, it is a process that all organizations need to go through in order to strive, and remain competitive, in a market that keeps evolving every day. Digital transformation brought in a new way of doing business to the world, where the satisfaction of the customer takes center stage, and adapting to the customer’s needs requires shifting from highly structured organizations to agile ones, where innovation is approached in a different manner, and value creation is not simply about selling products and services, but about providing experiences. Seeing that digital transformation is a broad topic, this work focuses on evaluating the impact of six dimensions of digital transformation, originally proposed by Rogers (2016), on an organization’s readiness, and on the benefits that can come from the digital transformation process. This will allow for organizations in the future to understand which changes are more relevant and should take center stage, and in which dimensions they should focus in order to have a successful implementation of a digital transformation strategy.
