A evolução da sociedade internacional africana e as suas implicações para a política externa portuguesa
| Resumo: | This chapter analyses the role played by the anti-apartheid and aniti-european colonialism solidarity norms in forging a regional international society in Africa. This is of particular importance to understanding the trajectory of 'ortuguese Foreign Policy towards Africa as Portugal was the last footprint of European Imperialism in Africa and the solidarity of the newly independent states and of the regional International Organization of the Organization of African Unity with the national liberation movements fighting against portuguese colonialism was key in its emergence. However with the Cold War the solidarism within the african international society waned in face of the alignments with external patrons. O propósito do presente capítulo é compreender a evolução da sociedade internacional africana e as implicações para as relações com atores extra-continentais, mais especifcamente com Portugal. A partir da abordagem da Escola Inglesa de Relações Internacionais o objetivo é perceber de que forma o solidarismo nesta sociedade internacional africana foi variando ao longo de diferentes eras das relações internacionais, e a maneira como tal condicionou ou impeliu a re-aproximação entre Portugal e os Estados soberanos do espaço lusófono. O capítulo argumenta que foi justamente a variabilidade da saliência do solidarismo na sociedade internacional africana que criou margem para essa re-aproximação. |
