The impact of agentic AI on the enterprise architecture of telecommunications firms

Ver documento

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This research explores how artificial intelligence (AI) impacts the enterprise architecture (EA) of telecommunications firms. Using the Design Research Process (DSRP), a baseline model in ArchiMate was developed based on TM Forum frameworks, which was enhanced to integrate agentic AI components. This enhanced model shows cross-layer impacts of AI agents on processes, applications, and data. The models are validated both academically and practically using a case study from a German telecommunications provider. Key findings include a structured approach for aligning agentic AI adoption with standardized EA practices, reducing integrations costs and supporting digital transformation efforts in telecommunications.
