Ver documento

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Using data from the first time-use survey ever conducted in Portugal, this study provides a comprehensive analysis of time allocation in the Portuguese labor market — encompassing market work, domestic work, sleep, and leisure. Labor analysis employs a truncated regression model combined with IV, the remaining analysis employs a Tobit type I model. Conclusions from similar studies for other countries, and from mainstream theoretical models are corroborated for Portugal. Income, education, age, labor force participation, gender, and household composition are assessed for their explanatory value.
