Business models for a circular economy in the european clothing industry: the case of waste management along the value chain
| Resumo: | This work project’s objective is to investigate the current developments towards a circular economywithin the clothing industry, a major polluter. Problems of this industry are addressed, focusing especially on waste along the value chain. Definitions of the circular economy and business models that correspond to the principles of a circular economy are also studied. Using a sample of eight different companies, covering different business models, in-depth interviews were conducted within the framework of this thesis. It can be concluded that there are innovativeapproaches with potential to change the entire industry to become more sustainable in the future. |
