Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This work uses household data to analyse the determinants of food insecurity in Portugal, between 2004 and 2012, as well as the causal relationship between the production of goods for own-consumption and food security. It is shown that own-production has a positive impact on food security. Moreover, the financial crisis of 2008 did not negatively affect food security. The result is robust to several specifications.
