Resumo:This explorative, inductive study examines corporate volunteer mentors' motivations and perceived benefits in remote mentoring programs, using Grow Movement as a case study. Primary and secondary research suggest that intrinsic drivers, such as altruism and the desire to create impact, are central to mentor engagement. Moreover, motivation typically evolves as mentor-mentee rapport deepens, highlighting the importance of interpersonal connection. Contrary to traditional assumptions, extrinsic incentives are marginal. While the remote format poses occasional barriers, it fosters autonomy, cross-cultural exchange, and soft skills. The findings present remote mentoring as a two-way learning experience and offer practical recommendations to emphasize mentor engagement.
