3D-printed CAD/CAM complete dentures - Case report
| Resumo: | Abstract Dentures are used to restore missing teeth and are traditionally fabricated using the lostwax technique. The flasking process is arduous, time-consuming, error-prone, and requires a skilled technician. The development of 3D printing technology has made rapid prototyping of dentures more feasible. This case report describes the functional rehabilitation of a completely edentulous patient with complete dentures by a manufacturer-independent workflow with conventional clinical steps combined with computer-aided design, computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM), and 3D printing technology. The result was 3D-printed complete dentures that were fully adapted, economical, and well-accepted by the patient. |
