Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The efficiency of N-ethyl N-hydroxyethyl aniline (NENHEA) as corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 0.5 M sulfuric acid has been investigated electrochemically by potentiodynamic and potentiostatic techniques, and surface morphology analysis by scanning electron microscopy. The results showed that the efficiency of NENHEA increases with the concentration and decreases with temperature. Corrosion potential indicate that this is an inhibitor of mixed type, although it is predominantly cathodic inhibitor. The adsorption of NENHEA on mild steel obeys Langmuir-Freundlich isotherm.
