Graffiti and street art: aesthetic manifestations in Greater Porto
| Resumo: | Graffiti and street art have become a universal, intercultural and multidisciplinary urban phenomenon. Nowadays, are a relevant resource not only for urban regeneration and beautification of degraded and unsafe areas, but also contributes to the cultural innovation, social cohesion and economic development of communities. Based on the multiplicity of resources of the graffiti and street art culture, we find some examples of the initiatives that have been carried out in the Big Porto area, both for the benefit of the local populations and the attraction of tourists, integrated in a rising market of consumers who are looking for new experiences. |
