Ranking farm hotels based on sustainability: Analysis based on multicriteria modelling

Resumo:Society as a whole has become more sensitive to aspects of sustainability, charging companies an ethical attitude towards its consumers. This study aims to classify the Farm Hotels from Pernambuco Agreste about the sustainability by supporting multi-criteria method the decision. Data collection was made through a structured interview, applied to six managers of farm hotels. The method of multi-criteria support (ELECTRE TRI) has allocated each hotel in one of five categories ordered range. The results confirmed that 50% of the studied hotels were classified into intermediate categories, indicating that the integrated sustainability practice in these cases are conducted in a incipient form. In addition to that, it was observed that the monitoring parameter showed poor performance in more than 90% of the studied hotels. In addition to providing information about the current state of the practices of hotels, the article suggests a new metric to classify the hotels-farm based on sustainability.
