Institutional theory and social responsibility in the hotel sector in the city of Celaya, Guanajuato.
| Resumo: | Unlike the major world powers, Mexico is a country where the issue of Social Responsibility (RS), has an incipient development, with very heterogeneous implementation levels, in many cases there is no information about the status of RS practices, this is the case of the tourism sector, this is why, this research was carried out in the city of Celaya Guanajuato, Mexico and had as objective: Analyze the relationship that exists between the practices of Social Responsibility and Institutional Theory in the hotels of three, four and five stars. The approach used was quantitative, of non-experimental transversal design with a correlational scope. The main findings were the non-existent application of RS in the study subjects, and no association was found between coercive pressure, imitation, values, norms and social legitimacy with SR. It was identified that the socio-labor dimension can predict the level of institutionalization of socially responsible practices. This research bases its originality on the attention of a city where there is no research related to the tourism sector and social responsibility. |
