Resumo:The objective of this thesis is to explore martinican author Frantz Fanon’s perspective on the application of decolonial theory to the fields of ontology and aesthetics. Formatted as a glossary, the text approaches fanonian thought, its historic and cultural context, and also its possible contemporary applications onto philosophy and art theory. Arranged in that order, the entries identity; other; metropolis; humanity; manicheism; race; consciousness; unconsciousness; decolonization; imperialism; violence and revolution create a narrative progression in order to lay out Fanon’s importance as an instrumental critic to the study of aesthetics and art theory.
