Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This project was based on the study of the bikesharing service, that is, the service of sharing bicycles. In order to make this type of service efficient, it's necessary to optimize the profits generated from the understanding and restructuring of the balance of bicycles between their collection points. For an initial framing, a research was made on the history and evolution of what led to the bicycle sharing that we have today and what are the factors that made it fail previously. Throughout the project, a detailed analysis was made regarding the main factors that influence a certain influx on the search for bicycles on a specific collection point. These patterns are mainly based on aspects such as the period of the day, the days of the week, the location of stations, available bicycles, and on the other hand, available spots for relocation. After the identification of the main patterns, an extremely important study of the modeling was made, in order to better understand the searches and realization of the simulation. In the modeling, an analysis was made on the distribution of the intervals between searches and travel time, and naturally tests have been made as well, in order to understand the significance of the conclusions taken. In the simulation we tried to understand to what extent the total number of bicycles has an influence on the satisfaction of demand, as well as to identify behaviors that can induce a redistribution that optimizes the satisfaction of demand and in turn, profits. Finally, some suggestions were made in the terms of the information that would be interesting to have available for a future study, as well as in the perspective of service and service management.
