| Resumo: | Purpose: To enlist, compare and classify non-wearable and hybrid technological instruments that objectively measure Parkinson disease signs and its burden on daily living. Methods: An online search was conducted in Medline via PubMed. Data extraction was performed to a table adapted from templates of the Movement Disorder Society (MDS). Recommendations presented were based on criteria used in previous MDS reviews. Results: Forty-eight devices were identified being 41 from the non-wearable category and 7 from the combination of technologies category. Two devices are “recommended”; 23 are “suggested” and 23 are “listed”. Conclusions: Nintendo Wii Balance Board and GAITRite gait analysis system are the devices classified as “recommended”. Studies emphasizing the clinimetric properties of certain devices are needed to ensure the quality of measurements. |
