| Resumo: | The article analyzes the work of the sculptor João Cutileiro in Lagos, Portugal, in its relationship of landscape as matter. It investigates the constituent materials of the work and its integration into the landscape, to draw the hypothesis that his work, rather than placed in the landscape, the work is landscape. Theoretical and methodological bases are Javier Maderuelo, Kevin Lynch and Yi-Fu Tuan. The analysis of this artist shows its place in the Portuguese art scene and also shows an expansion on the concept of public art and contemporary landscape |
