| Resumo: | In the twentieth century the body became the target of knowledge and experimentation in multiple fields, including art. This text aims to present and discuss the work of visual artist Lauren Kalman, in which body, ornament and image are discussed from their relationships with health and disease, beauty and grotesque, sensoriality and sexuality.
