Estranhos: uma erótica da destruição
| Resumo: | This project consists of a short film entitled Estranhos, a surrealist exploration of violence, adressing adjacent themes such as justice, revenge, guilt and identity. This short film is acompanied by a theoretical exploration, which constitutes the written document. Through a philosophical exploration, encompassing both the more explicit and the more abstract conceptions of ‘violence’, the project aims to examine the relationship between the medium of film and this phenomenon, highlighting a paradox in cinema’s double function of thinking about and showing violence. This paradox can be understood as part of an ‘erotic’ dynamic, where the abjection caused by violence functions precisely as the origin of desire. |
