Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:The present dissertation addresses community art and uses the project HOUSE/ARCHIVE as a study-case. This document is divided in three chapters. The first chapter addresses the history and literature revision about the subject — the artistic, social and economic contexts that give origin to community art. Defines the concept of community art and analyzes the theoretical discussion between several authors on this type of art practice, on its function, sense in the art sphere and ways to qualify it. In the second chapter it is presented the study case — project House/Archive — result of an artistic residency at a day care center for elderly people. The process of the project is analyzed and theorized. Its method is related to the experimental concept of Poetic Archive. Finally, the third chapter addresses the three art interventions of project House/Arquive and the importance of poetics and the emotional impact in community art as a catalyst to a change of perspectives
