Apendicite como apresentação inicial de adenocarcinoma gástrico
| Resumo: | Case study report and literature review regarding secondary tumors on the appendix, addressing case series, physiopathology, diagnostic work-up, therapeutics and prognosis. An initial presentation of gastric adenocarcinoma as acute appendicitis is a rare clinical entity, with very few similar reports in medical literature. The particularity of a potential genetic base of the primary tumor justifies a literature review on hereditary diffuse gastric carcinoma (HDGC). The most important factor of the treatment of patients with metastasis in the appendix is chemotherapy. |
