Valores culturais da arte urbana: Lisboa 2008-2014

Resumo:With the hope that this work can be useful for the practice of planers and cultural agents and several other responsible of the several institutional levels, here is presented a proposal for a broad perspective of the designated urban art phenomenon’s. Along this document are considered, the theoretical framing, the empirical study, the interview interpretation, the case studies and the conclusions. The question: “How to conserve the urban art cultural values produced in Lisbon between 2008 and 2014?”, delimits the work object of study that integrates the Doctoral Program HERITAS – Heritage Studies, Universidade de Évora and Universidade de Lisboa. Here is proposed that the Urban Art that was produced in Lisbon between 2008 and 2014, should be observed from the Heritage and Art Sciences perspective, identifying values that help to understand in which measure urban art is part of the city building knowledge and that this knowledge is identifiable as a determined group of cultural values that will be relevant to recognize and retain. With the detail that the object of study needs, here are deepen the reflections namely about the sequence of facts about the Bairro Alto rehabilitation in 2008, it's relation with the origin of the Urban Art Gallery Lisbon City Council project, and the detailed description of the CRONO project, that, in Fontes Pereira de Melo Avenue and other main axis of the city it converted a mediation process in a added value to the city. It's developed the urban art contextualization, knowledge building and organizing concepts proposal, with emphasis for the unique production of knowledge about the Lisbon graffiti and street art History of the facts, exercise with certain approaches already done by several authors but that here is revisited and reinforced, having as reference an empirical experience of participating analysis that last at more than 25 years. It's concluded from the collected data, that the predominant cultural valorization deals with social values, and specific documentation, conservation and dissemination strategies are proposed.
