Resumo:In recent years there has been a significant evolution in the world of technology, this has been felt in different areas, essentially in the business area. This technological evolution has been simulating organizations to adopt information technology in order to automate their information systems. Due to this reason, companies have been resorting more and more and more to auditors, to ensure that information systems work in the correct way and that they comply with all the stipulated norms of their country. This project studies the possibility of improvements in the efficiency of IT auditing processes. For the development of this project he following objectives were defined: a) validate the approach of how activities are currently performed in the audit process and how they can be carried out with the collaboration of another department; b) analyze how the transfer of activities to another department capable of collaborating, could contribute to improving the efficiency and activities of the IT audit department; c) study the impact of the implementation of this activity from the preparation and training of the department’s employees to its implementation. To achieve the above objectives it was necessary to carry out a process mapping, in order to get to know and identify the company’s procedures and define the responsibilities of each department. This process mapping will allow us to understand the current situation of the process , to later propose improvements, analyzing what is intended in the future with the implementation of this project. For the implementation of this project, activities that are performed in the course of an audit by a multinational company will be studied. This study allowed for the creation of a prototype, where it was possible to assess the potential success of this initiative. Through the implementation of this prototype, it was possible to prove some of the expected benefits
