Summary:This Dissertation consists of a work of study that takes an approach to the various types of drawing in archaeology in a simple explanatory way. Keeping in mind not just the weight of Traditional analogic Archaeological-Drawing as well as the way in which the new digital arts influence the whole aspect of graphism in Archaeology. The matter of drawing and of the Arts in general, has come to feel some technical changes that we can employ, as a consequence of the current graphic technology. Thus, we wish to collect information on how we can combine these two types of approach and see what parts of the analogical process can be helped and enhanced by applying digital techniques. We decided to schematize the area of Archaeological-Drawing, seeing it as a primary category inside Drawing in the specter of the artistic field, organizing the different fields inside it as its own sub-categories. Artifact drawing, rock art drawing, field drawing, and reconstruction drawing being brought to light and explained one by one, elaborating on the way in which the work is traditionally made that we could find register of and from own experience in the field, widening our field of vision to the way in which the new digital drawing possibilities like photography, photogrammetry and computerized drawing can be and are employed to make the collecting information a more agile and effective process. We do conclude this work with a look on the importance of the existence of experienced illustrators who have expertise in these areas, not just for the researchers in archaeology, but also for the creation of a bridge that can connect and create interest from the public towards the patrimony
