Resumo:This Dissertation Master Thesis in Painting proposes the reflection and research theory and practice in the context of contemporary art, about the idea of intervention in the public place. With the subject The Poetics of Space: Bachelard to the Visual Arts, looking up and a general approach on the subject of personal site specific which is based on the book The Poetics of Space by Gaston Bachelard with theoretical and practical proposals for national and international artists from the 60s to the present day as well as some reflective essays on the subject. The theme offers a collection of events, class actions and various resolutions under the plastic and visual arts intervention, organized chronologically through the history of world art, from its earliest manifestations to the present day, taking this as a form of action and continuity medium. The research adds to the realization of a practical intervention and plastic, with equal emphasis on theoretical reflection, in a complementary way and conclusive. The construction of this piece proposes two action plans: appeals to the principle of 'object-painting' installed in a public place, and proposes an immediate and multidisciplinary dialogue with the viewer. This ‘body-object’ (that is born of the mixture of painting, sculpture and mosaic) discusses the issue of space, the way that complements and adds to your enjoyment space, collective, individual and / or social. Gathering some suggested readings proposals as ‘observer spectator’ and ‘observer stroller’, the technical side recovers the mosaic by its inherent identity that relates to this visual stimulus (and sensory), being seen as a technology with history and rises as recovery not only technical, as strong plastic potential interaction with the viewer
