Sistemas duplos renais : revisão sistemática
| Resumo: | In this systematic revision is carried out an approach to the renal duplex systems. It starts by a theoretical introduction to kidney and urinary tract embriology. Then, it discusses the molecular and genetical determinants by which this congenital anomaly can be transmited to the next generation. It is reviewed how this anomaly can be presented in children, from simple anatomical changes to the presentation of a great variety of symptoms. It ends, discussing the ways by which we can diagnose this anomaly, paying particular attention to he Magnetic Resonance Urography (MRU). This particular image method has assumed, even more, as an essential method for proper imaging and functional assessment of renal duplex systems. |
