Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:This paper is based on a series of paintings by Carlos Alberto Petrucci, produced between the 1970s and the 1980s. They show buildings of the local architectural patrimony in the process of disappearing. To understand the exceptionality of the series, it is important to observe the technique employed – wax tempera – and the treatment of images from photographs. These aspects caught my eye when I saw the paintings at the time of their execution. But they had something more than melancholy: there is sadness, solitude and silence that touched me at that moment and that, after more than thirty years, continue to excite me
