As imagens da memória

Detalhes bibliográficos
Resumo:Memory is a subject that allows multiple interpretations. The choice of a sub-theme is necessary in order to specify the study object. There are some art pieces that are based on the problematic of illnesses associated with memory; others that explore the processes and techniques of memorization; while others exploit the link between memory and traumatic experiences; and some that are made in memory of something in specific. All of them have “Memory” as their central theme, and yet approach different subjects. The sub-theme of this dissertation is the characterization of the images that compose memory itself. Initially this work aims to explain the relationship between memories and the experiences which originated them, analyzing the characteristics that compose memory. By analyzing the theories of various authors, an attempt is made to see if the memory is matched to an exact replica of the lived moment; and if, throughout the passage of time, the individual remembers the same experience without his memories changing. From this analysis, the research changes to the survey by different processes which allow the moving image to characterize memory. For this purpose it's intended to expose different examples of works of art, analyzing them by the plastic and methodological choices which compose them. The investigation ended with the creation of an artistic project based on personal interpretations and ideas, learned from the research. In summary, the aim of this work is to develop an artistic project that represents a plastic approach to the images that compose memory
