Integração dos processos de mobilidade com o Erasmus Without Paper no sistema Fenix
| Resumo: | The Integrated Academic Management System, Fenix, is utilized by various schools within the University of Lisbon (ULisboa) and is designed to automate the management of educational processes. Although widely used across ULisboa schools, certain processes, such as the student mobility management, are still performed manually, leading to inefficiencies and reliance on physical resources. This project aims to automate these processes, particularly the management of outgoing mobility applications. To meet the specific requirements of the schools, functionalities were developed to group mobility applications by type, store essential configurations, and map institutions from the organizational structure with those from the Erasmus Without Paper (EWP). Additionally, mobility processes were modeled with tabs for information collection, validators, access profiles, operations, and a notification provider, resulting in more structured and automated management. One of the main challenges of the project was establishing communication between the Fenix instances of ULisboa schools and the Fenix instance of the Rectory of the University of Lisbon (RUL). The solution involved using Web Services and the REST API Builder module, enabling the transmission of application data and the automatic creation of grant management contracts. These developments not only modernize the student mobility management but also contribute to the sustainability and administrative efficiency of ULisboa by reducing the use of physical resources and improving process effectiveness. |
