Resumo:Light plays a central role in one's life by deeply interfering with the way one perceives reality, namely the places and objects that are part of it. In this regard, the main objective set by this dissertation is to explore and observe the illumination of an interior space, through different light approaches and the use of a virtual three-dimensional model. (In a theoretical-practical perspective,) The work starts with a practical use of digital resources on the creation of a church marked by large glazed spans, while a theoretical level is sought to clarify the way of implementation of the three-dimensional model as of the two-dimensional illustrations and representative issues, associated to the cultural and temporal context in focus. Since the computational tools are central to the execution of the object of study, their most relevant characteristics and potentialities to this work's development are described, taking its aim into consideration. Given that this is essentially a project about light, a brief and reflexive analysis on how both artificial and natural light work, as well as on the way how it is perceived by us according to its intensity and its own direction along with the characteristics of the space itself and the elements contained therein, is also carried out
