Resumo:This report was written for the 16th Master's Degree in Pediatric Nursing at the Nursing School Lisbon, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa. It aims to describe and analyse my journey during the different internship contexts, describing the objectives outlined for each one, as well as the planned activities and reflecting on how I developed the competences of a pediatric nurse. For the master’s degree, it was essential to develop a scoping review. This review was carried out in accordance with the requirements of the Joana British Institute. The theme behind the different internship projects was cultural care, based on Madeleine Leininger's Theory of Cultural Care. The internships took place over fifteen weeks, divided into five weeks in each of the following contexts: Pediatric Ward, Neonatology and Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. During each internship, a situational diagnosis was made, objectives were outlined and activities were planned in order to carry them out successfully. Although each context had its own particularities, it was important to work on cultural competence in all of them. During this academic journey, it was possible to develop the skills of a pediatric nurse, as well as the master's degree skills.
